Why use us?

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of surface can the marquee be erected on?

The marquees can be erected on most surfaces, including grass, gravel, tarmac and concrete. The marquees are framed so don't require any guy ropes, we use pins to secure them, if this isn’t possible we will use weights.

What size of marquee would you suggest?

This will depend on the type of event your are catering for, we have some layouts below that may help you.

What kind of flooring do you have?

We generally put down an interlocking wooden floor that is then covered with carpet. You can choose your carpet colour to go with any colour scheme. We also do dance floors.

What about tables and chairs?

We have a large selection of tables and chairs to choose from, anything we don't have can be hired in for your event. We can also provide table linen and napkins.

Do we need a generator?

It is essential to have an reliable and adequate power supply. If you require a few lights and a disco, running a supply from the mains should be adequate. For events with catering, heaters and loos we would recommend our generators which come with all the necessary distribution boxes, trips and cabling. We also usually supply a back-up.

When will the marquee be erected and dismantled?

Depending on the schedule we generally have the marquee up and finished at least one day before the event to give you plenty of time to decorate and make it your own. We plan to take marquees on the Monday or Tuesday following a Saturday event.

Can you have a marquee in the winter?

Definitely, the marquees can withstand the weather and our thermostatically controlled heaters can heat the marquees throughout.

Do you provide catering and bars services?

We don't do this ourselves but we do have caterers and bar providers - we also work with event dressers and florists we would recommend. Please see our links page.

What kind of lighting do you provide?

As standard we fit chandeliers which are on a dimmer switch. We can also provide uplighters that can be coloured and fit behind the lining to create different effects.

Do I need a heater?

In this part of the world we always recommend you have a heater, it can get chilly at night or to warm the marquee up before your guests arrive.

What about insurance?

All our equipment is fully insured as set out in our terms and conditions.

Do the toilets require electricity?

Yes they need a 13amp plug.

Can you guarantee that the structures you erect are safe and properly erected?

Yes we are members of MUTA this is a self regulatory organisation with its own codes of practice that members have to adhere to. Members are inspected at least twice a year as well as unannounced visits.

All our equipment meets the relevant safety standards.
